New book looks deeply into a dark chapter in Colorados past when the Ku Klux Klan reigned supreme, and tells the too-long untold story of the heroes who helped end it.

"Gangbuster," by Alan Prendergast, tells the story of crusading Denver D.A. Phil Van Cise, who took on the KKK and other Denver criminals.

There was interest in changing the name of Baranof Elementary even before the last summer’s demonstrations to remove a statue of the 18th Century fur trader from in front of Harrigan Centennial Hall.
