Van Conner has died at the age of 55 following a long illness.

Musician Van Conner, who helped form the grunge band Screaming Trees, has died at age 55. His death came nearly a year after the band lost vocalist Mark Lanegan.

Northwest alt-rocker Van Conner has passed away. The Screaming Trees co-founder died following what his brother and Trees co-founder Gary Lee called “an extended illness.”
