A Virginia mother who grew up under Chairman Mao Zedong's communist regime in China slammed Critical Race Theory at the Loudoun County School Board Meeting this week, calling it "the American version of the Chinese Cultural Revolution."

"It is racist, it is divisive, it's destructive and it is dangerous"

Xi Van Fleet hit headlines for slamming CRT at a Loudoun County School Board meeting on Wednesday, saying it had striking similarities to theories pushed by communists in China.

A mother, an immigrant from Thailand, married to a Caucasian, read aloud from a letter she wrote to the Williams County School Superintendent detailing the tremendously disturbing emotional impact this curriculum had on their sever-year-old son who as a result now despises the “white” half of himself.

A Virginia mom who endured Mao Zedong’s Cultural Revolution before immigrating to the U.S. ripped a Virginia school board at a public meeting Tuesday over its stubborn support of the controversial critical race theory.

Xi Van Fleet says she is very alarmed by the teaching of CRT, which she says trains children to be social justice warriors and to loathe their country and their history.

"The Communist regime used the same critical theory to divide people," she said. "The only difference is they used class instead of race."
