Suspected narcotics dealers arrested in Ventura, Thousand Oaks
Ventura County authorities arrested two suspected narcotics dealers as part of investigations on opposite ends of the county over the past week.
The first arrest began around 5:05 p.m. on March 26 in the 700 block of Rancho Road in Thousand Oaks.
Detectives with the Ventura County Pharmaceutical Crimes Unit were in the area when they spotted the suspect, identified as Heidi Hexberg, 47, of Thousand Oaks. Hexberg was a wanted subject who was on active probation with multiple outstanding warrants for her arrest, according to authorities.
Deputies attempted to pull Hexberg over in a traffic stop, but she fled in a vehicle, initiating a pursuit. During the pursuit, Hexberg turned her vehicle quickly and collided with the pursuing deputy, though she continued to flee the area. Hexberg was also witnessed throwing containers of what was later found to be methamphetamine out of her vehicle, according to authorities.
