The Rebel Lounge returns to full capacity this weekend for the first time since it closed its doors in response to the global pandemic in March 2020.
The first full-capacity date is Friday, June 4 Phoenix rocker Sydney Sprague has been getting a boatload of positive press for maybe i will see you at the end of the world. It feels like we re there, says venue owner Stephen Chilton. I ve said the whole time, I didn t want to open until it feels safe. And it does now. All the news on the virus has been good for a long time.
The local band Ring Finger No Pinky will take its song to the Rebel Lounge stage when it opens for Twin Ponies on Saturday, May 29.Â
This will not be Ring Finger No Pinkyâs first performance at the venue. The band played there just before the pandemic in December 2019.Â
âItâs cool to see all the renovations theyâve done to the Rebel Lounge,â said vocalist/guitarist Griffin Brown, a Glendale Community College student.Â
Formed in 2018 as a four-piece band, Scottsdaleâs Ring Finger No Pinky was forced to downsize after two of its members moved away to attend college.Â
