Traffic is head-to-head in the southbound lanes for that stretch of the interstate.
Next year, a major reconstruction project is planned on Interstate 94 near Mapleton west of Fargo and this year crews will be installing the crossovers. Also in that area, NDDOT contractors will seal cracks on the existing roadway to improve road quality and safety. Lanes on the interstate will be closed in both directions and speeds will be reduced during the work.

INTERSTATE 94 OVERPASS: Later this summer, workers will replace an outside beam and repair other beams on an I-94 overpass on the Raymond interchange 4 miles west of West Fargo. A semi-truck with an oversized load damaged the overpass last summer.
(West Fargo, ND) On Monday, May 10th, inside lanes of 23rd Avenue East between Veterans Boulevard and Bluestem Drive, will close for concrete pavement repairs and median improvements.
East and west through traffic lanes will remain open. The median in front of Costco and Veterans Commons will close so vehicles will be unable to cross 23rd Avenue East. Traffic will also be unable to turn left across 23rd Avenue East from both sides of the road. This is a permanent median closure to improve safety in the area.
The next step in this project location is full pavement repair of westbound 23rd Avenue East, west of the Costco entrance on Bluestem Drive. During this closure traffic will not be able to travel west of Bluestem Drive on 23rd Avenue East and will have to detour south.
