Our CorrespondentKohima, Oct. 27 (EMN): In a major boost to the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) and the leadership of Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, and NDPP president, Chingwang Konyak, a prominent youth, Vevoyi D Vadeo, on Thursday announced to join the party. Sources confirmed to Eastern Mirror that a former president of Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) and prominent youth leader along with his team had joined the ‘Globe’ party in Pfutsero town under Phek district. The political development has come as a major boost to the NDPP of 17th Chizami Assembly Constituency (AC). The announcement was made few hours ahead of the NDPP president’s tour to Phek region, wherein Konyak was slated to inaugurate NDPP Phek region office building-cum-party leaders meeting at Phek town hall later in the afternoon.
