Firefighters recovered a body from Eagle Creek Reservoir Friday not far from where a man was thrown from a paddle boat during a storm on Wednesday.
Authorities were yet sure if the body is that of a man rescue crews have been searching reported missing after falling in the creek.
Divers and boat crews have been searching the creek during daylight hours since the man disappeared Wednesday afternoon.
Pike Township firefighters were on a boat and found the body about 6:15 a.m. Friday, said Capt. Jet Quillen, a spokesman for the Indiana Conservation Officers.
The body has not been positively identified and was taken to the Marion County coroner s office, Quillen said.

A California man who federal prosecutors said derived sexual pleasure from psychologically torturing children because of his crimes extorting minors in the Indianapolis area was sentenced Friday to 75 years in prison.
Buster Hernandez, 30, of Bakersfield, California, pleaded guilty in federal court last year to 41 counts, including coercion and enticement of a minor, production of child pornography and threats to kill, kidnap and injure, according to court documents. He stole them, he tried to destroy me, diminish me, and almost succeeded, one of the young victims said during his sentencing hearing Friday. At the end of the day there are wounds that will never heal and psychological damage and trauma that will haunt me to my grave.

A counselor on death row at the U.S. Penitentiary in Terre Haute has been moved out of that job after social media posts mocking an anti-death penalty activist and cheering on further executions, according to a defamation lawsuit.
The suit was filed Monday in Marion County Circuit Court by Ashley Kincaid Eve of Indianapolis, an activist who also is an attorney.
The defendant is Andrew Sutton, whom Eve identifies as a counselor in the Special Containment Unit (death row) at the federal prison in Terre Haute.
