WhatsApp says the two new features have been introduced to improve security on the platform.

Meta-owned messaging app WhatsApp has today unveiled a brand campaign designed to promote its View Once function for sharing ephemeral media. The effort aims to attract a younger audience, steal users from Snap and promote privacy amid growing concerns about user data protection.

To make their users' experience while using it even better, WhatsApp releases three new features for both its PC and mobile version. Its Photo Editor, which is exclusive for smartphones only, can now be accessed in the former, while the Sticker Suggestions and Link Previews will be rolled out exclusively for the latter.

A new feature is launching on WhatsApp beta that allows users to set all messages to disappear by default. The current iteration of the feature only allows users to turn on disappearing messages for individual chats and only gives the options of seven days.

WhatsApp is found to be testing a new option for its Disappearing Messages feature that would allow users to make messages auto-delete after 90 days. This seems to be an extension to the existing seven days option.

Signal and WhatsApp both have disappearing messages feature but none of the apps can notify senders when a screenshot of their view once media is taken.
