The father of the deceased was addressing a press conference for the first time since this murder case surfaced.

Addressing a joint press conference with BJP leader Kirit Somaiya in Mumbai, Vikas Walkar also blamed the Vasai Police for lack of cooperation in probing the case. However, he praised the Delhi Police for a swift investigation.

The police suspect that Aftab, who allegedly killed his live-in partner Shraddha in Delhi's Chattarpur on May 18, had hatched the plan during their trip to Himachal, made just a month before the gruesome crime.

Members of a fringe outfit -- Bhagwa Hindu Sena -- on Sunday took out a march in Haridwar demanding that Aaftab Amin Poonawala, the accused in the Shraddha Walker murder case, be hanged.

Hundreds of locals participated in a signature campaign demanding justice for Shraddha Walker who was killed by her partner in Delhi.

Police also found a chopped head and hand in the Trilokpuri area of Pandav Nagar police station of the national capital in June this year, which was nearly a month after Shraddha was murdered (on May 18).

In a major development in the murder of 27-year-old Shraddha Walkar by her live-in partner in south Delhis Mehrauli, Delhi Police on Saturday recorded the statement of a person named Godwin, who claimed to have reported a non-cognizable offence against the accused, Aaftab Amin Poonawala, in 2020.
