Chandrayaan-3 update: Vikram Lander completes final deboosting operation; all eyes on landing now

โ€œThe second and final deboosting operation has successfully reduced the LM orbit to 25 km x 134 km. The module would undergo internal checks and await the sun-rise at the designated landing site. The powered descent is expected to commence on August 23, 2023, around 1745 Hrs. IST," said ISRO.

Indias space agency, ISRO, successfully launched Chandrayaan-3 on July 14, 2023. The satellite separated from the rocket and entered Earths orbit 16 minutes after the lift-off. The soft landing is scheduled for August 23, 2023 and will make India the fourth country ever to accomplish this feat after the US, Russia and China.
