YELLOW SPRINGS — In spite of the continued pandemic concerns and political strife, artists continue to look forward to a brighter tomorrow and appreciate the joy and beauty springtime brings today. Winter was long and cold this year and the artists at the Village Artisans invite you on a colorful journey along as they “Spring Forward” into their next Members show. The show will be on display in their Lobby Gallery, April 17 through June 3 during regular gallery hours: Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

YELLOW SPRINGS — The Village Artisans Gallery in Yellow Springs has announced its March Lobby Show, titled Warm Colors vs Cool Colors.
“Colors are powerful tools of the artist as they can create or change our moods, make us smile, relieve our stress, help us relax, or fill us with a sense of excitement,” the gallery said.

YELLOW SPRINGS — Sue Brezine, a watercolorist and member of the Village Artisans in Yellow Springs, will present a retrospective of her work in watercolors and pastels. Brezine’s Lobby Show will be on display through March 4 at the Village Artisans Gallery, located at 100 Corry St., Yellow Springs.
Brezine, a Dayton native, studied at the Dayton Art Institute as a child. She studied under American artist and author Betty Edwards at California State University, Long Beach. Edwards is most famous for authoring “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain,” the techniques of which Brezine took with her in her own teaching career. Brezine has taught at Riverbend Art Center, Dayton, Kettering Adult School, and other venues. She has presented her workshop, “Sketching Your Spirit,” to countless religious and professional organizations during her career.
