Yesterdays wins appeals case to build a new pub on Elm St in Warwick

VILLAGE OF WARWICK – Yesterdays, on Wednesday, won a state appeals court case to relocate to 16 Elm St. from the Irish bar and restaurant s long-time 29 Main St. location in the Village of Warwick. A four-judge panel of the Appellate Division, Second Department of the state Supreme Court, ruled unanimously on technical grounds in favor of the 35-year-old business. Neighbors didn t want to live near the 3,600-square-foot new location that Yesterdays is in the early stages of building on Elm Street. In a longshot, the New York State Court of Appeals, the state s highest court, would have to accept the case for an appeal for it to continue. The Elm Street residents’ attorney, David Gordon of Poughkeepsie, said on Friday he was unsure if they wanted to attempt to appeal.
