Around the world Tuesday, people observed Holocaust Remembrance Day, a day to honor the six million Jewish victims of World War Two's Nazi genocide.

The upcoming weeks bring holidays and commemorations that take us from despair to celebration. Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) is on April 18, Yom HaZikaron (Israel’s Memorial Day) is on April 25, and Yom Ha’atzmaut (Israel Independence Day) is on April 26.
