of her teammates who were practicing. folks were too upset to say much only to say they were having a tough time. >> reporter: a facebook page was started to share fond memories, kathy's body was found sunday. investigators had trouble identifying her until a classmate saw a news report and helped make the connection. the coroner says it will take about two weeks to get the results of a toxicology report and confirm how she died. so far there are no obvious signs of foul play. >> i know a lot of people are heartbroken. >> really sweet, patient. >> reporter: according to the principal she was a senior here who played on the tennis team and was a stellar student. >> she tutored me last year in chemistry. she was really, really helpful. i didn't know anything and then she was helping me throughout the whole process. >> reporter: many knew her as a bright student but considered a run away when she was reported missing late in september. investigators said she run away back in april. grieve counselors were on campus talking to students. >> this is shocking and surprising. >> it is surprising because i feel like nothing bad happens in our neighborhood. >> reporter: the principal says right now everyone has a lot of questions still and they are waiting on the coroner's report to try to help understand what happened. we are live in albany, ktvu channel 2 news. more details on the arrest of a man in connection to a series of destructurive arsons. love, from vallejo, is charged with fires that happened in the last three months. one of the fires on september 29th broke out in the law officers of the vallejo mayor. it damaged a waiting room and office area. we spoke with mayor davis about an hour ago. he said his law office had dealings with the suspect years ago over an estate probait matter. >> it is clear there was animosity and he sued me in 2004 or 2005 with a lawsuit. >> he called today's arrest progress. the suspect is accused of setting fires at a mortuary and a church. the arrest on two teenagers, will sheriff's deputies say the two teens were planning a robbery when they killed a woman in cold blood. this man, 18-year-old cody nicos is ha and a 16-year-old boy are charged with the murder in the death of 58-year-old barbara. he did yard work for the victim and knew there were guns and valuables in the home. they waited for hours for her to leave. when she did not, the detectives say, they changed their plan. >> when they made the decision to go in the house, they had made the decision to go in and kill her. >> reporter: investigators say the two strangled her and robbed the house. they allegedly returned later and set her body on fire. the teens did not enter pleas today. a jury today found a santa rosa man guilty of first-degree murder in the death of a musician. tucker was shot to death as he was driving to music practice in january of 2010. vega was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter in the shooting death of juan car loss esparza. he mist took tucker for a gang member when he -- mistook tucker for a gang phepl ber gang member when he shot him. these photos were released of a robber. he hit two banks in campbell, two in sunnyvale and one in san jose. the man shows a demand note and leaves without people knowing anything happened. he is described as 5'8 to 5'10 with a stalky build. so far he has not shown a you are right. good afternoon to you. the sheriff's department held a press conference not to long ago announcing the arrest of an 18-year-old man and a 16-year- old boy who has a -- a -- a distant relative of the victim. this is the booking photograph of the 18-year-old. he and the 16-year-old were arrested on thursday in connection to the death of a woman. she was at home the afternoon on october 18th when the two teens entered the home, killed her and took guns that belonged to a retired firefighter. investigators say that the 16- year-old is also a very distant relative of the victim. >> he jumped out and grabbed her, from behind, put her in a strangle hold and strangled her to where she fell on the ground. >> reporter: in terms of motive investigators say it was to rob the house to get the guns and money and eventually sell them and when they returned home later that night around midnight they came back later and burned the house. >> this woman is in her own home. she is -- violated by a person she knows, she trusts. these two men, young men, commit an absolutely horrible act to murder her and then to return hours later to set her body on fire. it's just horrible. >> reporter: and both were roommates as well. we are learned they have been living together for four moss. we understand that both are being charged formated and that the 16-year-old is suspected to be charged as an adult. their court appearances are scheduled for monday. >> all right. thank you. this morning a 27-year-old was shot and killed while standing in fronts of his house waiting for a ride to work. police received reports of gun shots on vernon street. neighbors reported hearing up to ten gun shots. the victim's father said he can't understand how this happened. >> somebody had to be following him, to be out this time of morning while he going to work. >> the father said his son's name is vincent jones junior and that he was living in a halfway house. he said his son was waiting for a ride to his job at goodwill. as promised next week the oakland police department could get some much needed help from the state. the highway patrol plans to send some officers to oakland to patrol high crime areas. the details are still being worked out. yesterday's chp a announcement just a few hours after the governor confirmed right here on ktvu that help will be sent to oakland. police and city leaders are talking about the plan this hour. we will have. two wins in the books. two more to go for the giants to get another world series title. right now the giants are in the air on their way to detroit. game three of the world series starts tomorrow. we are live and we were there as the team left and they aren't taking anything for granted. >> reporter: no. the giants know what it's like to be behind in expires come back and win the whole thing and they don't want to give detroit the chance to do that. as much as they would like to clinch at home they would rather just win the next two games, sweep the series, call it done and then come home for a parade. the team started arriving just after eight. game faces on. posey, wilson, sandoval, romo the last on board before they left. >> we are excited. the guys got rest. we are going to detroit. we will -- have a light work out and relax tonight and just get set to go the first game and we like where we are at but we know we have a lot of work to do. >> reporter: the fans have been incredible and a handful came to show support. >> just send them off on a good note and hope they don't come back. >> yeah. >> just for the parade. >> reporter: we saw madison who pitched a great game two get on board and caught a look at ryan who will get his start in game three. >> one of the things we do is not travel after the game. we don't have them up all night. they get a good -- good rest. then we get them into work out mode and tomorrow -- game start time so they will get a lot of rest. >> reporter: as many as 700 traveled to detroit. the entire front office goes in, so do friends and families. we watched matt arrive with his wife, stroller and a lot of bags. >> that's a decision we made to try to keep the players, you know, in the right frame of mind. they want their families to have the world series experience. >> reporter: and off they went. are you looking at them getting on the plane. it left 90 minutes ago so they are in the air. the giants say one game at a time. they know the world series is not about who wins two games first, it's about who wins four first. live in san francisco. >> thank you. a lot of people are still talking about an important play last night that could have changed the outcome. >> the 0-1. hard hit and fair. past third. down the left field line. it's fielder going around second. the relay to the plate. it's in time!
