As a result of the Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine, 240 children died, another 56 went missing, and hundreds were wounded.
“As we marked International Children's Day on 1 June, I wish to draw your attention to the fact that since the beginning of Russia’s aggression in 2014, more than 240 Ukrainian children lost their lives, 56 more went missing, and hundreds were wounded,” Ambassador Yevhenii Tsymbaliuk, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the International Organizations in Vienna, said at the OSCE Permanent Council meeting on June 3.
He noted that the civilian infrastructure in the government-controlled areas along the line of contact remained vulnerable to Russia’s armed attacks: last week, the SMM confirmed damage to residential areas in Marinka, Hranitne, and Pivnichne, all caused by shelling from the territories controlled by occupiers.

The aftermath of a shooting at the synagogue of Kremenchuk, a city located 130 miles southeast of Kyiv, was discovered early last month but reported by the local Jewish community on Monday. The delay was planned “in order to prevent panic in the Jewish community of the city,” the news site Jewish.ru reported, quoting a spokesperson for the United Jewish Community of Ukraine, a communal interest group.
No one was hurt in the incident.

The power structures of both countries could not help but know that Roman Protasevich had served in the Ukrainian Azov regiment (a terrorist organization banned in Russia).
In an interview with Nasha Niva, "the Belarusian fighter with soldier name Kim" said that Russia, as the successor of the USSR, was showing aggression and heading straight into the "red abyss". He also said that the war in Donbass was a war "not only for Ukraine, but also for Belarus."
"If one does not stop the Russian Putin horde now, then our country (Belarus) may come next," Protasevich said.
