BRIDGEPORT A well-known restaurant owner, at the center of allegations that former Police Chief Armando Perez tried interfering in an investigation into the sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl, has been charged with bribery and hindering the investigation.
John Vazzano, a former Barnum Festival ring master and owner of Vazzy’s restaurants in Bridgeport, Fairfield and Monroe, surrendered to State Police at the Rocky Hill Police Department on Wednesday morning after being notified there was a warrant for his arrest.
