Eighty members of the Virginia Beach-based urban search and rescue team spent the last week in Florida, helping with the recovery effort from Hurricane Idalia.

Virginia Task Force 2 returned Sunday afternoon after 80 members of the FEMA Urban Search and Rescue team deployed to Orlando.

Residents said heavy flooding was prevalent, a complete wash out. One resident was even canoeing to get to where he needed to be.
