The Virginia Lottery Board, on the heels of a 7-0 vote, today issued to Hard Rock Bristol a facility operator’s license to operate Virginia’s first casino.

The Virginia Lottery is also interested today in telling folks about resources available in Virginia for people with gambling problems.

Maryland has a “voluntary exclusion” casino program to help problem gamblers. But the number of gamblers caught violating their bans doubled in March.
