16-year-old wounded in shooting in Camden County suburb

A 16-year-old boy was shot in Voorhees on Saturday night, authorities said.
The shooting was reported to police around 11:21 p.m. Saturday, according to a joint statement from Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Voorhees Police Chief Louis Bordi.
A Voorhees Police Officer was approached by a group of passengers who said a shooting victim was inside their vehicle. The boy was taken to a hospital for treatment, where he remained on Sunday afternoon.
Authorities said he was shot while on Franklin Drive in Voorhees.
No arrests had been announced as of Sunday night.
