In pursuance to the joint meeting resolution of three municipalities/town councils of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), Chumoukedima Town Council (CTC) and East Dimapur Town Council, DMC has revised and refixed the rates of various cut meat, which was to be enforced with immediate effect.

DMC revises rate of live, dressed chicken

Dimapur, May 12 (EMN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has revised and re-fixed the rates of various categories of chicken (live and dressed) with immediate effect. Administrator, DMC, W Manpai Phom in an order on Friday stated that the revised rates is in pursuance to the resolution of joint meeting of the three municipalities/town councils – DMC, Chümoukedima Town Council (CTC) and East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) held on April 18. The revised rates are as: Broiler (live) – INR 160 per kg; Broiler (dressed) – INR 250 per kg; Layer and Felister (live) – INR 200 per kg; Kuroiler (live) – INR 300 per kg The order stated that the prescribed rates are the maximum amount fixed by DMC, which are to be followed strictly by the chicken sellers. DMC set for mass drainage cleanup before monsoon Apr 18

DIMAPUR Administrator of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), W Manpai Phom, informed that the municipal council is planning for a mass cleanup programme before the onset of monsoon concentrating on the drainages of Dimapur. Addressing a press conference on Tuesday at his office, Phom informed that they are planning to come up with a comprehensive plan to address the present system of waste collection as he reasoned that without addressing to the current waste collection system, cleaning the drainages alone would be meaningless. He informed that they are already in the process of tying up with some colonies as a pilot project. In this regard, they would be initiating the waste collection system for one residential ward and one commercial ward. He shared that they would be having interaction with the ward-level authorities, committees and sanitation committees and come up with a comprehensive plan. He informed that the daily waste generated in Dimapur at present stands at around 74 tons p
