The Mustangs fans, though limited due to COVID-19, cheered loudly in their home gym as their team inched closer to a potential upset.

Another test for the Mustangs and another shortcoming.
This time, however, the loss didn t mark the end of the their season. Instead, it represents an opportunity for the team to improve on its quest for respect. The 2020-21 high school basketball season has obviously been a different one for every team.
Postponed games. Replacement opponents. Playing on unusual days of the week.
But despite the evil COVID-19 pandemic, the games have played on the best they can - and it s been good.
Some teams, especially those in Clay County, missed a huge chunk of pre-season preparation time in November due to the pandemic and health shutdowns.
Things have now started to take shape in the Western Indiana Conference, and the races for both boys and girls are shaping up to be outstanding. Another factor already put in place that has affected the competitive level is the abandonment of the divisional format with crossover games to determine the order of finish in the WIC.

As the Vigo County School Corporation Wabash Valley Classic draws closer and closer, the holiday tournament announced another set of changes to the 21st annual event Tuesday evening.
The updates and changes are listed below:
With First Financial Bank dropping out as the main sponsor for this year only, Vigo County School Corporation will have the tournaments namesake for 2020. However, SERVPRO, York Automotive Group of Brazil and Ryan Luce of State Farm have become sponsors.
The two brackets will now be called the Rob York Chevrolet Bracket (Terre Haute North) and Ryan Luce State Farm Bracket (Terre Haute South).
