Sam Waghorn owns wine distribution company Wag & Co. He lives in Wellington with his fiancé Nate, flatmate James and two fox terriers Boy and Pipi.
Sam: We moved around quite a bit when I was a kid. My dad’s a livestock agent, so we lived in South Canterbury, Southland and North Canterbury. In every property my parents would plant things, put things in pots, they always had vege gardens. Mum had these beautiful, white, highly perfumed roses – Margaret Merrils – and she’d always pull them up, wrap them in newspaper and transplant them to a new garden.
