you keep on fighting. and if you need a friend, get a dog. when i did the wall street movie, i went to visit michael douglas on his upper west side apartment. i was wearing what i was typically wearing in those days, which was a double breasted suit, horizontal-type shirt and handkerchief and he looked and said yeah, that s exactly how i want to dress. it was easy in a sense. money is lost and made, it s simply transferred. we made him a wardrobe that a dresser would wear. on some cases the shirts were bolder and patterns stronger just so on camera they would read that way. the ring, what kind of ring he was going to wear. those were all chosen with thought in mind of how to again project this guy who could do whatever he wanted and was holding to nobody. somehow it hit such a nerve, we had people coming in from europe, from california who
try and terminate him as a result of this. martha: that is an interesting argument and, radar on-line reports today he s not allowed on the property at warner brother and if he shows up they told security don t let him into the parking lot, enough to make a u-turn, he is to be stopped and backed out of the parking lot as quickly as he can and he says that is hilarious and my show keeps the lights on and i ll fire everybody, i ll fire those clowns, were his words and call it sheen brothers studios. the true wisdom of charlie sheen can be found, the original wall street movie. he quotes in that movie and he says, if your enemy makes you arrange, irritate him. and, i think of course that is what he s doing and, of course, hal holbrooke advises bud fox at the end of the movie, he says, you know, the bad thing about money is, it makes you do things you don t really want to do. so, i guess martha.
we ll see if greed is still good at the box office. i can tell you this, having seen the movie, if you liked the original wall street, you ll probably enjoy this one, too. the best way to explain the premise is to say it s family drama meets the economic meltdown of 2008. after more than two decades, michael douglas is back in his oscar-winning word as gordon gecco. he gets out of jail and we wonder if he s been reformed or up to his old tricks. his estranged daughter certainly doesn t trust him and she does not want her boyfriend played by shia lebouef to know him either. he s a trader that gets mixed in with josh brolin bernie madoff character and other fat cats. then all hell breaks loose on wall street and we are along for the ride. this story is timely and it s a story that ironically mirrors today s economic climate. i asked the director and actor josh brolin if the clie hat has
