A resident from Outer Circle said, “Non-compliance with the amended zoning regulations is a violation of the law and goes against undertakings given in the High Court by BBMP and other government agencies. Furthermore, the BBMP commissioner had also issued a public notice to stop or close commercial activities in residential zones.”

Residents of Sampangi Rama Nagar complain that the BBMP officials took up the unnecessary works thus wasting tax-payers’ money. They also said that the sub-standard works serve no purpose other than helping the BBMP ward engineer and the contractor. They said that the ward engineer took the decision to install the name boards without consulting the stakeholders.
