The 2023 Park City Pride annual flag-raising event brought colorful crowds as members of the community gathered at Miners Hospital to support the launch of this years Pride Month. The sun shown bright, tulips bloomed vibrantly red and everyone was cheerful — of course, the coffee and donuts provided by the LGBTQ+ Taskforce didnt hurt.

The Summit Land Conservancy at its annual conservation breakfast on Tuesday announced its new capital fundraising campaign to raise $20 million over the next five years, “For the Future.” Every dollar donated by individuals over the next five years will be added to the fund, which will help leverage other dollars contributed by landowners, foundations or the Summit County open space bond.

One possibility to solving the housing crisis discussed at a joint meeting between the Park City Council and Summit County Council on Tuesday was the creation of a regional housing authority; a quasi-governmental body formed to coordinate a collaborative, strategic response to housing. The idea has circulated in the Park City area in previous years, but hasn’t gained much traction.
