Weather deck. Is it warm out there . Its nice out here. Its not too humid. The sun is shining. Hazy, high thin clouds. High temperatures will warm into the low 90s. So, starting off this morning, we are looking at nice conditions across the area. As we take a look at your morning planner, sky cast 4, you can see we are looking at mostly sunny skies. Here is the midday planner, temperatures are going to warm into the 80s, upper 80s for the afternoon suburbs. Low 90s for some of us. Howard county is under a code orange air quality alert this morning. That means elderly, children, heart or lung issues take it easy. Most of us are fine with code yellow air quality. This is not what you normally see on a saturday evening. People are frustrated. Theyre confused trying to figure out if theyre going to be able to get on a plane today. Now lets go to some video. The problem started at an air Traffic Control center in leesburg earlier this morning that caused some ground stops, again delays, cancellations, the problem was resolved right around 4 00 this afternoon, but there is this huge backlog now. Thats what were seeing at the airport. Some flights were even diverted around washington. Some are being told that they are going to have to wait as late as monday to get their flight. The track at normal speed up there on the train bridge here at ohio drive. We want you to see the video we hot earlier where this was quite a scene. Firefighters worked to vent the smoke that was coming from this Power Substation and prompted metro to slow down the trains on the yellow line. The trains are running again at normal speed now that firefighters have cleared the scene and vented the substation room. Still unclear the cause and exactly what was smoking.
