Conference a little later. were waiting on that. this endorsement we expect from john mccain in favor of mitt romney in new hampshire. that could be the story of today that has stolen this afternoon for romneys favor. >> it sure could. there is a history between john mccain and rick santorum. back in 2008 you may remember, rick santorum made it his mission, his word, his mission to stop john mccains momentum once it looked like john mccain would beat mitt romney for the nomination. santorum came...

Here they are criticizing herman cain, but i think they go after him with a dash of sauce because hes a conservative and they really cant stand black conservatives, they think anybody thats a black conservative is totally inauthentic. its just, to me, evidence of how orthodox and how rigid they are in their own thinking. martha: its fascinating to me, because they were not as loud, not as forceful, on all of this when herman cain wasnt doing so well in the polls, so now herman cain is really ass...

Dont understand. they had a good issue in basically saying, look, the obama administration trying to tell the state of arizona what to do on immigration when all the state of arizona was trying to do is do what the federal government wasnt doing. they had a winning issue with a lot of swing voters are that didnt delve into a lot of politics and all of a sudden sudden its almost they snatched a victorious issue -- snatched defeat from a victorious issue. >> they almost cant help themselves, as yo...

Where this 14th amendment debate really clarifies the issue in a lot of ways. if youre talking about building a border fence, youre talking about punishing wrong doers, people that break the law. if youre talking about changing the 14th amendment, youre talking about punishing infants in hospitals. theres a fundamental lack of generosity, and i think kind of seriousness in this kind of proposal. it -- you know, it -- it shows the republicans in a very bad light, and there has to be another side ...

Another side to this argument. >> and roger, heres what i dont understand. they had a good issue in basically saying, look, the obama administration trying to tell the state of arizona what to do on immigration when all the state of arizona was trying to do is do what the federal government wasnt doing. they had an issue with swing voters that didnt delve into identity politics and all of a sudden its almost they snatched a victorious issue -- snatched defeat from a victorious issue. >> they alm...

This new tough law, which isnt tough at all. it was mirroring the federal law. because the u.s. government wasnt doing enough about border security. first of all, this law has nothing to do with border security at all. so thats nonsense. the second part of this is that the united states government does more today than they did last year, the year before, or any year in the past. the fact of the matter is, border security is a very, very serious problem and i dont think that were ever going to ha...
