An original hand-painted poster of the Marvel Studios film "Black Panther" will be on display Friday for the first of many community engagement events hosted by a College of Lake County film studies professor.
After receiving a $360,000 grant last year to acquire 450 electronic devices through the $1.2 trillion 2021 federal infrastructure law, the library and ConnectWaukegan are working together to put them in the hands of qualified individuals.
The Rev. Angelo Kyle, a member of the Lake County Board and the president of the Lake County Forest Preserves District, said the work King began in the 1950s remains the goal for society today.
The committee is looking for opportunities to continue pursuing its objective of educating people about Bradbury and his roots in Waukegan, which he made the setting for some of his books, calling it Green Town.
