Shreveport is making plans to construct a new police substation and satellite Northwest Family Justice Center in the 1500 block of North Market Street. Funded by a 70M bond, the substation will be placed on the north side of town, on the site of the former Moran Galvanizing plant. Mayor Tom Arceneaux is overseeing cost projections to determine the success of the first two locations before continuing with a third.
