Unseasonal rain during March has damaged the crops in Western districts of Uttar Pradesh however central and et Uttar Pradesh as well as Bihar did not suffer any significant damage. This upcoming rain will not be very intense their four chances to crop the image are less.
Both these features are drawing moist winds from the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea respectively. An upper air trough is supporting the low level features to trigger deep convection. Combined influence of these systems is resulting scattered rains and thunderstorm with hails at few places.
However, eastern and central parts of Uttar Pradesh and East Madhya Pradesh may see some light rains until October 13. Withdrawal of Monsoon will commence from some more parts of these states by October 15.
We expect moderate rain with a few heavy spells to continue over Uttar Pradesh during the next 24 hours. Rain activities will also intensify over Bihar and on and off rain may continue over Bihar for at least next one week.
On and off light to moderate rain with isolated heavy spells are possible to continue over eastern part of Uttar Pradesh and many parts of Bihar and until first week of September. This may be one of the longest rain spell over these states.
