The advisory runs between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m. Friday. While the wind is expected to pick up mid-morning, the strongest winds are predicted to hit the Rochester region in the evening, roughly between 6 and 9 p.m., said Weather Service Meteorologist Steve Welch.  Strong gusts could cause damage to some tree limbs or power lines and the area could experience some power outages.
