MOBILE, Ala. and ATLANTA, April 23, 2021 /PRNewswire/ The Mobile Area Association of Realtors (MAAR) and Gulf Coast MLS (GCMLS), and First Multiple Listing Service (FMLS) announced a new agreement today that benefits homebuyers, sellers, and real estate professionals throughout the Gulf Coast region and across a wide swath of the Southeastern United States.
Under the partnership, FMLS will be responsible for providing MAAR and GCMLS s MLS products and services. Its members will gain immediate access to the entire suite of FMLS technology, plus their expansive listing syndication network, as well as FMLS CE-accredited Training Institute and customer support, which will greatly enhance services to brokers, agents, and consumers across state lines.

A 2,500-square-foot office building at 653 Government St., in downtown Mobile, was purchased by investors for $410,000, according to Richard Weavil of The Weavil Company, who handled the transaction. The seller was Ken McElhaney, a long time State Farm insurance agent who plans to retire, according to Weavil. The buyers have leased the building.
P.S. Taco Company has leased 1,800 square feet in Rangeline Crossing, a new retail strip center development at 5000 Rangeline Crossing Drive in Mobile, according to Jill Meeks of Stirling Properties, who represented the landlord. P.S. Taco Co. plans to open this fall. This marks the fourth Alabama location for the Mobile-based taco company with restaurants in Foley, Saraland and another opening soon on Cottage Hill Road in Mobile.

Investors paid $2.2 million for a 4,245-square-foot commercial center at 390 Schillinger Road S., near Airport Boulevard in Mobile, according to Andrew Chason of Marcus & Millichap in Fairhope. Starbucks Coffee and Moe’s Southwest Grill lease the space, he said.
A local investor paid $550,000 for 1.49 acres at the northeast corner of U.S. 31 and Stagecoach Road in Spanish Fort, and has no immediate plans for the land, according to Sharon Wright of White-Spunner Realty, who represented the buyer. Lydia Franz of Re/Max Orange Beach commercial division worked with the seller. The commercial subdivision is called Spanish Fort Cantina, and the seller owns another 3.98 acres at the same corner, according to Franz. The seller plans to build a Cactus Cantina restaurant on part of the 3.98 acres.
