Students in Olney Central College’s Welding Program are gaining real-world experience through projects that are benefiting not only the college, but the community. Instructor Curtis Marshall said students spent numerous hours this semester on the fabrication of two new batting cages for the OCC Baseball team. Baseball Coach Phil Britton received an OCC Foundation mini grant to help fund the updates and requested Marshall’s assistance with the project.

CHEYENNE – Laramie County Community College and Union Pacific Railroad will celebrate a new partnership grant at 11 a.m. Monday in the Flex Tech Building on the LCCC Cheyenne campus.

The classes will be held in January in Greeley and in August at the Fort Lupton campus. The college did not offer specific dates in a news release on the program. The reason for the classes is high demand in welding enrollment, according to the news release.
