An Elmira native, Emanuel returned to the Southern Tier in 2014 to serve as Senior Group Publisher for Gatehouse Media’s North Atlantic Group. Following the merger of Gatehouse and Gannett in late 2019, Emanuel was named Senior Director of Sales.
Gannett CEO Mike Reed graduated from Elmira Free Academy with Emanuel in 1984. Over the course of their personal and professional relationship, Reed said Emanuel’s dedication to his family, his community and the newspaper industry always stood out.
