LINDEN, Texas -- Linden had unexpectedly good news last week when Standard & Poors rating service gave the city an A- plus rating on its proposed $6 million issue of general obligation bonds to rebuild all or the majority of the towns streets.

Street and sidewalk upgradings have begun for four downtown streets in Linden which start at Courthouse Square.
