CORALS that grow in abundance in the shallow waters close to Rozul (Iroquios) Reef in the West Philippine Sea have disappeared, apparently due to massive harvesting, a military official said on Saturday.

The six-year-old son of Colonel Singh along with Sandeep Singh, the younger brother of the deceased, lit the funeral pyre.

THE Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Western Command (Wescom) has monitored dozens of Chinese maritime militia vessels in areas covered by the countrys exclusive economic zone (EEZ) in the West Philippine Sea (WPS).

"China is an important force for maintaining peace and stability in the South China Sea. It abides by the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations and is committed to upholding and promoting international rule of law," the Chinese Embassy said.
