How to Check the Status of Your Stimulus
Most of us are still waiting on our stimulus checks to show up. If you re not aware, it s easy to check for updates on its arrival using the IRS website.
If you would like to check the status of your stimulus check, head over to the website and click the tab labeled Get My Payment and fill out the required information at the resulting page.
You will need to provide your social security number (or individual tax identification number), date of birth, street address and ZIP code.
After doing that, you will receive an update with the approximate time frame your money will be deposited. However, some information may not be available if you re having a paper check mailed to you. Those seem to take a bit longer.
Like many of you, I have been aggravated while tracking my stimulus with the IRS s online tool. Here s a workaround that will allow you to accurately track your stimulus.
This has been a frustrating week for many Americans, to say the least. Not only is America handing out billions of dollars to big companies and foreign countries while everyday Americans are receiving only $600, but a lot of Americans still haven t received their second stimulus at all.
That alone is the problem everyone should be upset about. Second stimulus in nearly a year. That is beyond absurd to me.
Many Americans are not only dealing with a floating stimulus that is showing no signs of depositing into their accounts, but also have to deal with an equally busted and confusing tracking tool provided by the IRS.
2nd Round Of Stimulus Checks, More Scams To Watch Out For
This past Sunday, the President put his John Hancock on the $900 billion dollar Covid-19 relief bill.
$600 checks for those who qualify and direct deposit payments started going out Tuesday night. Talk about fast. Paper checks started getting mailed out on Wednesday.
The second round of stimulus payments are up to $600 per individual for those who earned less than $75,000 in 2019 or for married couples who filed taxes jointly and earned less than $150,000. For every $100 a person earns over those caps, the payment will be reduced by $5, and an individual making over $87,000 will not receive a stimulus payment. (Today)
