Aspire Ryde Volunteers Bring Herb Garden At Ryde Pier Back To Life

Ryde Pier s herb garden has been brought back to life thanks to volunteers from Aspire Ryde.
Disused planters have been brought back into life by the charity to brighten up the Pier and support biodiversity. It is part of Wightlink’s Green Agenda, which incorporates wide-ranging initiatives to protect the environment.
Members of Aspire’s gardening team repaired and painted 16 planters at the Pier Head and filled them with a variety of herbs including oregano, mint, parsley, thyme and rosemary.

Money Left Behind By Wightlink Passengers Goes To Mental Health Charity

Jo from Solent Mind receives Wightlink s donation in a virtual ceremony
Around £1,000 of money left behind by Wightlink passengers - has been donated to a mental health charity.
This year, with mental health issues becoming significant during the COVID-19 pandemic, the ferry company will donate the money to Solent Mind.
The leading Hampshire mental health charity provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem and campaigns to improve services and raise awareness.
