Alberta Parks issued a bear closure advisory for the Rawson Lake Trail and Sarrail Ridge Route Thursday and asked visitors to take appropriate precautions.

Staff are currently putting up 15 kilometres of electric wiring on fences west of Lake Louise into the Yoho park border in part to stop the white bear from climbing over for a snack.

It's human nature to watch roadside wildlife, but practice can stress out bears and put people at risk.
