Authorities in Des Moines, Iowa, confirmed Monday that one man had been charged and two other people remained in custody after the deadly shooting.

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Two teenage students were killed Monday and a man was seriously injured in what police said was a targeted shooting at an alternative educational program that was designed to keep at-risk youth away from trouble, police said.

A police spokesman said the shooting was "committed as a result of an ongoing gang dispute." Police have arrested and charged an 18 year old.

The shooting was at an educational program called Starts Right Here that is affiliated with the Des Moines school district.
