Several people expressed concerns July 5 about a rezoning request for 7.88 acres at 1326 Slack St. between the First Baptist Church and a residential subdivision during a Planning Commission meeting.

Adding more than 600 residences on almost 58 acres on the northwest side of town could push the citys sewer treatment plant beyond capacity, according to Ken Hayes, Water/Wastewater Department superintendent.
