El Dorado concluded its basketball season on Thursday, falling twice to 5A South champion Lake Hamilton at Wildcat Arena. The Lady Wildcats dropped a 56-22 decision to fall to 7-20, 6-9. The Wildcats lost to the Wolves 81-51 and finished with a 6-17, 3-13 record.

SHERIDAN - El Dorado pulled out a 61-59 road win at Sheridan Tuesday in 5A South boys action. The Wildcats improved to 6-13 overall and 3-9 in conference while the Yellowjackets fell to 13-11, 2-9.

HOT SPRINGS - El Dorado’s ride home from Hot Springs Lakeside was long and cold Friday night and not just because of the weather. Both El Dorado teams suffered heartbreaking defeats in 5A South action. The Lady Wildcats fell 48-45 in overtime before the Wildcats lost a fourth quarter lead in a 75-74 setback to the Rams.

Sheridan knocked down 11 3-pointers and El Dorado’s offense continued to sputter on Tuesday in a 69-50 victory for the Yellowjackets at Wildcat Arena. The Wildcats fell to 2-11 in league play while Sheridan improved to 6-5.

BENTON - El Dorado hung tough early but couldn’t keep the pace at Benton as the Lady Wildcats fell 62-46 in 5A South action.
