The Washington County Career Center honors its April Students of the Month, Montana Brown, Katana Felter, and Zoe Graham.
Montana Brown is a Belpre senior enrolled in the Auto Mechanics program. He is the son of Alan Smith and Kelli Brown of Belpre and the grandson of William and Ann Kidder of Belpre.
At the Career Center, Brown is a member the SkillsUSA youth organization. He has been on the Career Center’s Honor Roll, Merit Roll and the Energy Bus Driver program, for meeting all three criteria for 3.0 GPA or higher, 95% attendance or higher, and no office referrals.

The 2021 Frontier High School Prom Queen candidates are Shayleigh Barrows, Mariah Bowersock and Katana Felter. The Prom King candidates are Logan Haught, Evan Cunningham, Jacob Gutberlet, Breckin Hoff and Andrew Shapley.
¯ Shayleigh Barrows is the daughter of Tammy and Tim Barrows. Shay has participated in the College Credit Plus Program and is a varsity athlete, float committee member, Student Council member, and was on the Homecoming Court. She is undecided on her future plans.
¯ Mariah Bowersock is the daughter of Mandy and Zach Bowersock. She plans to study physical therapy at Washington State Community College. Mariah is enrolled in courses required for the Ohio Academic Diploma with Honors while participating in the College Credit Plus Program. The Business Professionals of America (BPA) organization at the Washington County Career Center elected its chapter officers recently. The chapter includes students from the Digital Marketing and Graphic Design & Video Production programs.
Officers for the 2020-21 school year are:
Co-President, Casondra Heiss, is a senior from Fort Frye enrolled in the Graphic Design & Video Production program. She is the daughter of Edward and Julie Heiss of Lowell.
Co-President, Katana Felter, is a senior from Frontier enrolled in the Digital Marketing program. She is the daughter of William Felter of New Matamoras and Tanya Michael of Sarasota, Florida.
Vice President, Kailee McCracken, is a senior from Marietta enrolled in the Digital Marketing program. She is the daughter of Michael and Tracy McCracken of Marietta.
