This stunning sub-tropical oasis outside Whangārei’s CBD. The 24ha site is a lush riot of greenery and includes several gardens, such as the camellia garden, bromeliad garden and the native forest. End your visit with a delicious cake at the onsite Quali Cafe.
NewPlymouthNZ Pukekura Park Right in the head of New Plymouth is Pukekura Park, the jewel in the city’s crown. This 52ha sanctuary was opened in 1876 on what was once swampland. Both a garden and public recreation ground, the park features a fernery as well as two lakes, an historic band rotunda and the Bowl of Brooklands. Plus outstanding views of Mt Taranaki.
