My immediate left Daphne Chamberlain, a native of columbus, mississippi and Daphne Chamberlain serves as Vice President for Strategic Initiatives and social justice. And she is also associate professor of history at, her alma mater, the historic Tougaloo College before the opportunity. Before returning to tougaloo as a faculty member in 2013, chamberlain was founding director of the cofa Civil Education Center at jackson state, and she is also served as a scholar consultant for numerous local, state and National Civil rights projects. Her scholarship on childrens activism in the 1960s, civil rights richard lou her left grew up in a biracial family that was spiritually and intellectually guided by parents who were both anticolonialist and culturally affirming.
