Tributes have been paid to prominent Northern Ireland industrialist Sir William Wright, who passed away this morning (July 24).

He was known simply as The Big Fella’ and was head of the CID in Glasgow for 15 years.

Sir William Wright, who was given a Knighthood in 2018 for his contribution to industry, has died at the age of 94.
