The city of Talladega has been awarded $100,000 through a state grant program to improve the quality of life in communities where the grant is made.

All city departments will continue to operate under the budget currently in place until the new council, that will be sworn in in November, passes a budget.

The City of Talladega announced Monday that the Willman Road culvert will be closed for repairs until further notice, according to public information officer Mary Sood.
