The Building and Grounds Committee of the Willmar School Board discussed filling the Middle School's pool to turn the area into a second gym. The issue will be on the March 13 board meeting agenda.

The WARP2 FIRST Robotics team at Willmar Public Schools was able to compete at the state level in its first year. It's the second Willmar Middle School team, due to high interest.

Mary Amon, Randy Frederickson and Jay Lawton were re-elected to the Willmar School Board in Tuesday's election. They will serve four-year terms.

Five people, including three incumbents, are running for Willmar School Board this fall. Three of them will be elected to four-year terms in the Nov. 8 general election.

Three candidates will be elected to the Willmar School Board in the Nov. 8 election. Four candidates have filed so far, and filing is open until 4 p.m. Aug. 16.

Filing opens Aug. 2 for people interested in running for Willmar School Board this year. Three seats are up for election. They are currently held by Mary Amon, Randy Frederickson and Jay Lawton. Candidates may file for office through 4 p.m. Aug. 16. Filing fee is $2.

Willmar Parks and Recreation and Willmar Community Education each provide a great array of different programs and events for family fun during the summer. People of all ages should be able to find something to peak their interest.

A revised budget indicates Willmar Public Schools revenue is projected to increase from $58.1 million to $61.5 million for the year, and spending is expected to increase from $62 million to $63.4 million.
