Keep fire safety in mind during the season

IPSWICH — The Northeast Massachusetts Youth Orchestras presents “An Afternoon of Winter Concerts” on Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Dolan Performing Arts Center, 130 High St.

SIU Carbondale School of Music’s Wind Ensemble will present its final concert of the semester, "Time and Place" at 7 p.m. Nov. 30 in Shryock Auditorium. The concert is free.

Youth Orchestra’s free winter concert

Carson Highs Future Business Leaders of America chapter held its end-of-the-year awards celebration this week even though this year did place a damper on normal activities adjusting to the COVID-19 restrictions. The annual talent show hosted by FBLA had to shift from an in-person setting to a virtual presentation on YouTube.

The 37 student ensemble will present “Time and Place.” The free, public performance starts at 7 p.m.

ONEONTA — The Catskill Valley Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Andrew Pease and Amy Hoxie, will present a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, at Foothills Performing Arts

Grand View Universitys second performance of Julefest 2023, performed at St. Johns Lutheran church in downtown Des Moines on Sunday December 3rd.

The Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony will host their second concert of the fall 2023 concert season at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, in the Faulkner Performing Arts Center on the campus of the U of A.

This event begins at 6 p.m., and no tickets are required.
